Who we are

Solihull Cancer Support Group is a registered charity (number 1002359). The charity is responsible for deciding how personal information it receives is used.

Information this website handles

  • The general contact form opens your own email application with a message for the charity. It does not save the message in a website database.
  • If you call or email the group, the charity receives the contact details and information you choose to share.
  • The hosting service may process basic technical information, such as an IP address, browser information and request logs, to deliver and protect the website.
  • Optional website analytics run only when they are configured and a visitor accepts analytics cookies.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, provide support, administer the charity, keep the website reliable and protect people where a safeguarding or legal duty applies.

Lawful basis

The charity only uses personal information where there is a valid basis under UK data-protection law. Depending on the purpose, this may include legitimate interests, consent, a legal obligation or vital interests. Optional analytics rely on consent.

Who information may be shared with

  • Vercel provides website hosting and security infrastructure.
  • Sanity stores public website content. It is not used as a database for visitor form submissions.
  • Email and analytics providers process information only when those services are used.

The charity does not sell personal information. Information is shared only when needed to operate the service, respond to a request, protect someone or meet a legal duty.

How long information is kept

Personal information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the reason it was received, taking account of legal, financial and safeguarding responsibilities. It is then deleted or securely disposed of.

  • Ask for a copy of personal information held about you.
  • Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected.
  • Ask for information to be deleted or its use restricted where the law allows.
